Electromechanic
Maintain, test, refurbish and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear and other electrical devices.
Job description
The main responsibilities of an electromechanic are to:
- Test and observe electrical, electronic and mechanical components and systems using test and measurement devices
- locate and repair failures of electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators and other electromechanical equipment;
- Replace or refurbish shafts, bearings, switches and other components.
- winding, assembling and installing various types of windings for electric motors or transformers;
- dynamically or statically balance armatures or rotors, weld and braze electrical connections, and align and adjust parts;
- Perform machining work to refurbish or modify shafts, switches or other parts;
- Electromechanics may specialize in certain types of devices, such as electric motors or transformers, or perform certain functions, such as winding coils
Required knowledge
In addition to on-the-job training, the electrical mechanic must have knowledge in the following areas:
- Hold a DEP in electromechanics of automated systems;
- Electrical and electronic skills;
- Have at least 6 years of experience in electromechanics;

Welder-Assembler
Under the responsibility of the Group Leader, the welder sought has the following main functions
Performing various tasks related to welding and assembling various items and/or structures.
Job description
The main responsibilities of a welder are to:
- Perform the various welds required for the manufacture and repair of parts;
- Perform various complementary machining work;
- Produce different metals in accordance with shop drawings;
- Communicate to his immediate supervisor any improvements that may be made;
- Complete reports required by their work;
- Perform other duties as required and instructed by management;
- Contribute, through their attitude, to creating a climate conducive to teamwork.
- Use and mastery of cutting and shaping equipment.
- Assistance and sharing of welding knowledge and techniques.
Required knowledge
In addition to on-the-job training and good field experience, the welder must have knowledge in the following areas, among others:
- Hold a DVS in welding and/or any other relevant experience;
- Have at least 6-8 years of experience in welding, assembly and machining
- Hold their CWB-accredited competency cards.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, plans and assembly specifications.
- Mastery of the basic notions of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW & FCAW).
